Yes theory

“We believe that life's greatest moments and deepest connections exist outside your comfort zone.”

Few years back I was scrolling on youtube and stumbled upon a video titled asking strangers to get matching tattoos by a group called yes theory. I then watched another where they decided to dial random numbers until someone finally agrees to meet with them. At first these videos seemed so bizzare yet entertaining but as I kept bingeing I realised the message that they were trying to spread which now has become their slogan and for many more people all around the world is “seeking discomfort”.

the style and concept of their content was unlike anything that ive seen before on youtube.

The concept of four very normal guys coming up with insane ideas and somehow getting it done

And living their lives to the fullest seemed too good to be true.

Their mantra of seeking discomfort, which they live by is a mantra that goes hand in hand with humanity because according to yes theory *we are natural born discomfort seekers*.

So the feeling that you get when you walk up to that girl that you really like and want to talk to and your heart is pounding, or the feeling when you meet random strangers and instantly click , its so natural and so pure that when its over, the only thing you can describe it as is human.

The variety in their content is outstanding and refreshing to the mind, it all started with a group of guys trying out 30 new things that they have never done before in 30 days #project30.

But now they have accomplished things like challenging will smith to bungee jump out of a helicopter over the grand canyons and discovering the lost largest pyramid in the world.

Personally my favourite videos of theirs were when each of the guys survived a day in different countries with no money and completely relying on the acts of kind strangers for food and accommodations. Being an introvert myself it was amazing watching them struggle and still managing to make the most of their day and some crazy new memories with complete strangers  realising that no that matter which part of the earth you find yourself in, there are always more good and kind people than bad ones.

here are some more video titles to peak you interest;

*turning our backyard into LA’s no:1 restaurant in 24 hrs

*asking 2 strangers to swap their lives across the world for72 hrs
*asking your tinder date to go on a blind date to a foreign country
*throwing a rooftop pool party for strangers in a foreign country with the helpof favors in 24 hrs
